We are pleased to announce the release of Cesium 1.16. Here are the highlights:

  • Improved terrain performance by up to 35% by adding fog. See the technical post about it at Graphics Tech in Cesium - Fog.
  • Added terrain exaggeration.
  • Added support for incrementally loading a glTF model’s textures. This allows the model to be visible as soon as possible while its textures are loaded in the background.
  • Added support for using HTMLVideoElement with Cesium materials.

For more details and the full list of changes, see the change log.
